Adding and Replacing Multiple Tags
You may need to add or replace multiple tags in various places throughout your document. You can do this easily using the Insert and Replace feature.
Adding a Local Tag to All Occurrences of a Piece of Text
- Choose Edit > Insert and Replace Tags or press Shift-Command-F.
- In the Find field, type, paste, or drag the text to which you want to add tags.
- Drag the tag you want to add from the Tags pane to the Replace field.
- Click the tag in the Replace field, select the Local change checkbox, make any other changes you want, and then click Done.
- Click Enclose with Tag. Wherever the text in the Find field occurs in the document, it will be enclosed with the tags you have specified in the Replace field.

Replacing and Editing Tags
- Choose Edit > Insert and Replace Tags or press Shift-Command-F.
- In the Find field, type, paste, or drag:
- A tag or tags used in your document
- A portion of text with tags to which you want to make changes
- Copy the content of the Find field to the Replace field and make any changes you need to the text, if applicable.
- Delete any tag or tags you want to replace, and then drag the new tag or tags you want to use from the Tags pane to the appropriate position in the Replace field.
- To adjust a tag's settings, click it in the Replace field, make the changes you need, and then click Done.
- Click Replace All to replace every occurrence of the content of the Find field with the content of the Replace field throughout your document.
